What is GED?

GED tests provide an opportunity for adults who have not graduated from high school to earn a Florida high-school level diploma. The GED carries the same weight as a local high school diploma and is honored worldwide for college entrance and employment requirements.

Subject Area

  • Language Arts (150 minutes):  Ability to read closely, write clearly, and edit and understand written text
  • Science (90 minutes): Life science, physical science, earth and space science
  • Social Studies: (70 minutes) Civics and government, U.S. history, economics, geography and the world
  • Math (115 minutes) Quantitative and Algebraic Problem Solving

Scores

Scores are emailed to testers.

Fees

Fees for the exam are paid directly through the GED websiteEach exam costs $32.

Registration

Candidates must create an account with GED on their website to schedule testing. Exams are currently only offered at the West Campus Test Center.
