The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) helps you receive college credit for what you already know, for a fraction of the cost of a college course. Modern States
Modern States, a non-profit education alliance, offers free online CLEP courses through the Freshman Year for Free program. Modern States has partnered with edX, an online learning platform founded by Harvard and MIT, to develop more than 30 freshman college courses. Each course is aligned with a CLEP subject and includes online lectures, quizzes, tests, and other features. Textbooks and materials are also provided online, free of charge.
Modern States currently offers a CLEP Voucher for the cost of a CLEP exam once the free online course and practice questions related to the exam are completed. For more information and to register, visit the Modern States' Freshman Year for Free website.
Fees
Pay the $90 CLEP fee, select test site, and print voucher. Pasco-Hernando State College charges a separate $20 proctor fee, payable on campus at the College Store.
