What is (TEAS)

The ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) Version 7 is a computer-based, multiple-choice exam that measures the basic essential skills used for admission into PHSC nursing programs.

Accommodations 

Accommodations are available for the TEAS including extended time. To begin, students must first Request Accessibility Accommodations through Student Accessibility Services Accommodations Form.

Contact Testing Services once an exam is registered to verify available accommodations.

Provide your accommodation approval letter from Student Accessibility Services at check-in on exam day.

Availability

The TEAS is offered at the West and East Campus every business day, by appointment.

Fees

The current fee is $50, although may change due to cost increases from ATI Testing.

Identification

Valid, photo identification must be presented at check-in on exam day to test. A PHSC ID card may be used for identification.  

Prior Test Scores

Candidates may submit prior test scores with their application. Test scores are valid for two years.

Registration

Candidates may visit the Testing Services website to schedule schedule a TEAS exam.

TEAS candidates must create an account with ATI Testing prior to their exam date by visiting the ATI Testing website.

This account holds many resources including the candidates’ test score report(s) and study resources.

Retake Policy

Candidates may take the exam three times per year with a 30-day waiting period between attempts.

Scores

A minimum score of 58.7 is required to apply.

The PHSC College Store offers study resources and ATI offers for purchase print and online TEAS prep resources.

Time Limit

Three and a half hours.
